01/04 - In Monywa, in Sagaing Region, people keep protesting in a different way and increasingly organise defiles on vehicles as it is too dangerous to walk. Despite dozens of arrests and fatal shootings by soldiers, residents of Monywa kept up their opposition to the military coup, crying “An attack on any town is an attack on Monywa!”. For more than 60 days, the general strike and Civil Disobedient Movement is led there by student leader Ko Wai Moe Naing, nicknamed Myanmar Baahubali - an Indian fictional hero -or "Little Panda".
