15/04 - Yangon. People gather on bicycle in the neighbourhood in Thuwanna to celebrate a "Revolutionary Thingyan".
Thingyan (သင်္ကြန်) is the Burmese New Year Festival that usually occurs in middle of April. It is a Buddhist festival celebrated over a period of four to five days, culminating in the New Year, but was replaced by a Silent Revolution this year in protest of the coup and to pay homage to the fallen people.

Since the military coup on Feb 1st, hundreds of thousands of people have taken the streets to express their anger at the electoral steal and their wish of a federal democracy governed by civilians. These pictures are the fieldwork of recent graduates in journalism who are now covering the protests from all around the country. In the fourteenth series, holding the ground in Yangon.
