I cannot help thinking that when a woman who left power over twenty years ago dies to such loud booing and cheering, it doesn't bode well for the state of TODAY'S politics.
Of course, one way to look at it is to consider that even the booing is really a compliment to her stature. I bet neither John Major or even Tony Blair will get that kind of farewell.
But most of all, it shows off how pathetically bland today's politicians are, spectators rather than actors. Now that seems to me to be something that calls for mourning.
She was one politician, last century. and so many people, — even in France!— feel the need to express their hatred for her???
Shouldn't we all have better things to do?
