Comment rencontrer un jeune man par hasard in the bus, apprendre que c'est one americain (Texas) de 25 ans, appelé Nicolas Jeter et qui work à l'ambassade américaine. Interview.

Barbaralice : Why did you choose to come to France ?

Nicolas Jeter : When I was 19 years old, I came to Paris as a missionary for the Mormons for 2 years. I fell in love with France, with the french people, with the language. I am studying international relations, and I needed an internship [=stage, NDLR], so I chose Paris to work in the US embassy.

Could you compare France and Texas ?

In Texas, ice-cream is better, and there is the American football which is very important ! People are, that's to say, “chaleureux”, very nice. And in France they are loyal, and very good friends. And this country is much more beautiful. Sometimes I want to cry, I'm so happy … ! The monuments, the countryside … We don't have this in Texas.

Do you have a message for our readers ?

If you have the chance to go to the US, take it. Understand that France and the US are very close, and we need each other. Don't waste your time at school, and study something you're sure you'll make money with !

And maybe for your future fans … What do you eat for breakfast ?

Wow … I eat a “pain aux amandes” each morning !
