 Here is BATTIR - a Laboratory of Ideas for the Safeguarding of Nature and the Landscape.
Between 2oo7/2o11, more than the 8Km2 of Battir have been surveyed, mapped and studied in the aim to share understandings about such a world patrimony - To defend the Human Rights.

So many people still believe these maps I spread since May 2012 until now are mine -They are not "my" maps, but the maps done in the framework of the “Battir Cultural Landscape Conservation and Management Plan" - a multidisciplinary team of professionals implemented it, and contributed to the characterization of the various thematic aspects of the territory of Battir (The name and position of these professionals is written down in the headings of the maps) -These maps belongs to the Villagers of Battir.

In May 2o12, Hassan Muamer, from the Ecomuseum at that time, transmitted me his files, for me to spread them. 
We convinced together to share informations about Battir and the Facebook pages have been created for this issue at my return. 
Then we prepared the International Festival of Geography (FIG), until October 2o12, for Battir, District of Bethlehem, Palestine, today Nominated on the Unesco World Heritage List  http://whc.unesco.org/fr/listesindicatives/5748/
The 38th Session of the World Patrimony Committee takes place in Doha, Qatar (from June, 15 -until June, 25, 2o14)
