« 75 years ago, European countries were liberated from the Nazi barbarism, with the help of courageous women and men who decided to sacrificed their life on behalf of their cherished value of freedom.

Today, as history is repeating itself, it is our duty to respond to what is going on in China: crimes against humanity and genocide perpetrated by the Chinese authorities against more than 8 millions Uyghurs and Turkic peoples.

This is the largest interment of an ethnic and religious minority since World War II. This mass murder and systematic policies have been taking place for more than 10 years.

10 long years and the international community is still silent.

Back in 1948, the General Assembly of the United Nations proclaimed its Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The recognition of the inherent dignity and the equal, inalienable rights of all members of the human family as the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.

After they declared that disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbarous acts, which have outraged the conscience of mankind, and the advert of a world in which human being shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief, freedom from fear and want, these values have been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people.

As citizens of countries that signed the UN Declaration of Human Rights, we must remind our governments that they have duties and responsibilities. To people in power, we denounce the limit of the capitalist system, and we call out brands CEO whose profits are made on the uyghur slavery and whose power is based on the tyranny and massacre of an entire community.

We demand our governments and the United Nations to take radical and immediate measures against the Chinese government and criminal brands, to defend the fundamental human rights, of dignity, of freedom, the respect of each human existence for people in Hong Kong, in Tibet, in East Turkistan.

We won’t stay silent, we won’t look away, and we won’t wait any longer. »
