WARDAK, June 5 – Hundreds of Afghans pouring onto streets in Wardak province to unit in a protest against the US Special Forces’ torture and killing of the disappeared Afghans civilians on Tuesday.
The protests came after three mutilated and tortured dead bodies of civilians were found yesterday outside US Special Forces’ base in Nirkh district of Wardak province.
The protesters flooded the streets of Maidan Shar city, blocking the Kandahar-Kabul highway and shouting slogans against Karzai government and Americans and US Special Forces.
The protest turned fierce after the local police, the US lapdogs opened fire on the demonstrators martyring three civilians and wounding two others.
The three disfigured and tortured bodies of martyred Afghan civilians found yesterday were latest in a series of discovery out of a total of 17 Afghan civilians in Nirkh district, where the civilians after abducted by the US troops vanished into a military base housing US Special Forces.
