In the eastern part of the country, in the series of killing and wounding the oppressed and vulnerable Afghans by the invading American forces and the soldiers of the stooge regime of Kabul, once again, more than twenty civilians, most of them children and women, were martyred and a number of them were wounded the previous day in Shaigal district of Konar province in the indiscriminate and brutal bombing and direct firing.

The latest reports received from Konar province say that last day the American forces carried out a blind and indiscriminate bombing on a village in Shilton valley of Shaigal district in which three houses belonging to three brothers were completely destroyed and the adjacent houses were also damaged. Twenty two persons, most of them women and children, were martyred and some others were injured.

Eye witnesses from the site of the incident told that all the martyred people were civilian countrymen. Among them sixteen persons belonged to one family and the remaining six persons were the dwellers of the neighbouring houses. The report says that among the martyred people, 13 are children and the remaining 9 are men and women.

The security officials of the stooge admin of Karzai tried to diminish the incident of this unjustifiable criminal act and huge calamity, as the defender of the occupiers, and mendaciously told that the persons killed were mostly armed rivals.

The governor of Konar province of the puppet admin of Karzai called the incident an insignificant one. He said that only 7 injured women were shifted to the Hospital in Asad Abad from the site of the incident. He added that a series of operations were carried out by the internal and external forces against Taliban in Shiagal district. One American soldier is killed in these operations and Taliban are either killed or wounded while the reporters and eye witnesses told that 22 persons were martyred and all of them were civilians. The reports say that there were no armed rivals in the area which was bombed; neither were any military movements visible there in the near about.

We contacted the military in-charge of Mujahidin for the clarification of the incident and getting minor details. He told that Mujahidin confronted the occupying forces and the internal forces of the puppet regime in various areas of Shaigal district the previous day. He added that the American forces and their stooge soldiers raided the Shilton valley of Shaigal district at 11 o’clock last night. The Mujahidin suddenly attacked and besieged the enemy. Consequently several foreign and internal soldiers were killed. Similarly, Mujahidin carried out armed attacks on the main district building, Shinkorak, Tora-Bora, Istihkam and Abunao areas. Heavy casualties were inflicted on the enemy during fighting and a number of their soldiers were killed. Six Mujahidin were also martyred in this combat. The fighting which was started at 11 o’clock midnight on 5th April, continued till the afternoon of the following day.

He further told that as the enemy faced heavy casualties during face to face fighting and heavy shelling throughout the day, they started indiscriminate bombing for taking revenge. They targeted the civilian’s houses besides the positions of Mujahidin. Three houses were completely demolished in the village of Shaga Khorgi in Shilton valley and several other neighbouring houses were damaged because of the barbaric bombing. The demolished houses belonged to three brothers namely Ali Khan, Sharifulla and Behram Sayyed, in which Ali Khan himself, 2 of his brothers, 8 children, 2 daughters in law and one niece, all of them were martyred.

The military head told that the area which was bombed was separate and far flung from the location where Mujahidin were busy in fighting and Mujahidin had no presence there at all.

The available reports say that the local people first buried the dead bodies of the martyred women. Then they took the bodies of 13 children and men as protest and marched towards the central city of Asad Abad to raise the voice that they had become the victims of oppression and to show this huge and unjustifiable criminal act of the brutal occupying forces and their indigenous stooges to the world community. But they were blocked by the puppet soldiers of Kabul regime and opened fires on them in which some more people were killed and wounded. The people waited in Shilton-Pul area for three hours. Then they returned their area and buried the dead bodies of their innocent children.

Neither the so called Human Rights organizations nor any other civil society has shown any reaction to condemn this huge criminal act, oppression and aggression of the occupying forces and the mercenary soldiers of the Kabul regime. A few days prior to this incident, when Mujahidin implemented justice and exhibited the consequences of oppression to the cruel workers, court officials, judges, attorneys and military and security personnel of Karzai admin in the centre of Farah province, the organizations of Human Rights defense started noise and disturbance. They condemned the operations and termed the killed persons as civilians.

The indiscriminate and blind bombing of the occupying forces over the civilians took place in such a state that the head of the slave regime of Kabul had already drawn the deadline of his fake sorrow for the civilian casualties and said that the civilian areas will be no more bombed, neither will the security organs ask the foreign forces for assistance of bombing.

The Islamic Emirate has expressed its deepest sorrow over the woeful incident of Konar province and the civilian carnage and has warned the occupiers and their indigenous stooges through a declaration that Mujahidin will take the revenge of their oppressed countrymen as soon as possible and will not be content with anything less than avenge.
