The secretary general of NATO Rasmussen made some spiteful recommendations last week to the heads of various countries. He made some surprising and astonishing expressions on Tuesday 23rd April 2013 in a press conference in the NATO headquarter in Brussels. He said, “The best way for making political progress inside Afghanistan is to keep up military pressure over the enemies of Afghanistan….”

Apparently his insinuation was towards the ‘Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’. He called those Mujahidin, who have rendered and are incessantly rendering tremendous sacrifices to preserve their creed and country, have given a tough time to the invaders and have confronted them with an embarrassing defeat, to be the enemies of Afghanistan!

The secretary general of NATO, Rasmussen, who is sixty years old, is an educated person and has mostly worked on high ranking official posts, knows that NATO forces are trounced and have lost the stamina to fight Mujahidin anymore; he is now reassuring himself and his colleagues with meaningless and hollow words.

If this question is furnished in front of any rational human being that who are the enemies of Afghanistan, the people of Afghanistan or the foreign invaders? His ultimate answer will be, ‘the foreign invaders’!

If we go through the history of any nation, we will find that the preserver of their creed, country and land are commemorated with the titles of heroism, chivalry and valor while the foreign invaders and their stooges are remembered as the enemies of their nation and land.

We would like to ask the secretary general of NATO that when Denmark was caught up between the French Napoleon and the British Nelson forces and the British forces had besieged the Danish capital ‘Copenhagen’ during fighting on 2nd April 1801 and 2nd September 1807 and the masses were sternly resisting the occupiers, at that time who were the enemies of Denmark? Whether the external forces or the Danish people?

Usually when the head of a family is sick and is facing the agonies of death, then he makes his final will and recommendations to his kith and kin. Since he is going to depart this world therefore he calls a spade a spade, speaks the truth and reveals the reality so that he might have performed his Godly and worldly responsibility; but the secretary general of NATO is not speaking the truth even at the last stage of his political career (i.e. at the verge of defeat); rather he conceals the reality besides doing the injustice and calls the Mujahid nation to be the enemies of Afghanistan who have surrendered their lives, riches and families for safeguarding the interests and sanctities of their masses.
