Countries pursue their common interests through their mutual relations. They establish diplomatic relations for economic development, communal peace and rummage around for relaxed and serene life for their masses. They discuss issues of mutual interest, help one another in times of need and find out ways for reducing the problems of their people. This is the reason that the Islamic Emirate has established diplomatic relations in the light of her balanced and coherent foreign policy with different countries of the region and the world on the basis of reciprocal reverence, equality and no-interference in others’ internal affairs. The recent visit of head of the political bureau of the Islamic Emirate and his associates on the invitation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and their productive meetings with the Iranian authorities explicitly testifies the rationality of the perfect, balanced, independent and self-determining foreign policy of the Islamic Emirate. Further strengthening of bilateral relations and raising the issue of the Afghan Refugees by this delegation bear out that the real purpose and objective of establishing contacts with foreign countries is to preserve the benefits of Afghan nation and to safeguard the lofty interests of the beloved homeland and nothing else.
Iran is a Muslim country and has common border with Afghanistan. More than 2,000,000 Afghan Refugees are living there. She has good economy, vast oil reserves and is connected with sea. She is a significant country on the regional and world level. These are the reasons which bring both countries close to each other; rather it compels both sides to deal in the environment of national interests and good neighbourhood and enjoy mutual political, social and economic relations.
The internal and external policies of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan spring out from the sacred religion of Islam. Islam has laid down the rules and regulations which preserve the prosperity and success of the humanity and give splendour to the regulation and organization of the human societies. Islam teaches us brotherhood, kindness and collaboration with Muslims. It recommends fair dealing and justice with the Non-Muslims and prohibits illegitimate aggression against them. It calls for pleasant behaviour and good neighbourhood with all the human beings.
