Afghanistan : US-Nato helicopter shot down in Panjwaee district

KANDAHAR, Jun. 12 – Reports arriving from Panjwaee district say that Mujahideen engaged hireling special forces troops at 08:00 am on Tuesday after the US-Nato troops was airdropped in Talokan region’s Perozo area at 02:00 am local time.

The fighting which lasted all day resulted in the US-Nato suffering heavy casualties besides a Mujahid shooting down a small attack helicopter (OH-58 Kiowa) which caught fire in midair before violently crashing near Gorgan village and getting destroyed in a blazing fire, killing all the US-Nato troops aboard.

The fighting was ongoing till dusk time with other helicopters carrying our bombings, more details as information flows in.
