Afghanistan is mainly a Sunni society where more than 90 percent of the people are committed to Sunnis ideology. But the Shi’ite believing in twelve Imams are also found in great number inside the country. They are mostly living in the central parts of Afghanistan like Bamyan, Daikundi, Ghazni, Sari-pul and Samangan provinces.
As Jihad was going on in the Sunnis populated areas during the former Soviet Union invasion over Afghanistan, similarly, the Jihadi movements were active and successful in Shi’ite populated areas with the same quality and quantity. At that time, very important and momentous Jihadi operations were carried out in the Shi’ite populated areas and huge losses were inflicted on the former Soviet forces, over and over.
But when the American forces invaded Afghanistan, just like the so called heads of some other groups of Afghanistan, a number of artificial and symbolic faces of the Hazara community as Mohammad Muhaqqiq and Karim Khalili supported the Americans. The Americans started the propaganda in the Shi’ite populated areas as they did it in all other areas of the country through their wide spread media and some of their mercenary chieftains that they are their only well wishers and the Mujahidin of the Islamic Emirate are malevolent for them and if the Shi’ite Afghans want to lead a peaceful life, they should not raise weapons against the American invasion, rather they should co-operate them.
During the last ten years, this type of American propaganda was effective to some extent in the Shi’ite populated areas and some of the people were deceived that they might find a lot in backing the Americans and other foreigners. They thought that they will make a progress by leaps and bounds and will achieve a lot.
But after the elapse of a complete decade, as other Afghans witnessed the bitter consequences of the American invasion, the bad and bitter outcome of the invasion also became perceptible gradually inside the Shi’ite society. The people observed with their own eyes that the presence of westerners in their regions, their campaigns and their activities are great snares for their social integrity, ideology and their forth coming generations. If these activities are not halted, they might leave very dire consequences behind.
In the last ten years, the activities of the westerners were mostly for irreligiousness, nudity, westernization and popularization of Christianity. In this exertion most of those people participated whose families were settled in the west or who had achieved the western citizenship. They had girded up their loins under the names of civic societies, human rights groups, youth societies, women societies and various others for the popularization of western dogmas and ideology.
In the recent past, when the debauchery of the youth and the unveiling and enticement of women reached their climax because of these activities, the heads, white-bearded people, religious leaders and dignitaries of the Shi’ite societies realized that if this process is not halted, it might result in great temptations.
Therefore, in the Shi’ite populated areas, especially in the province of Daikundi, the masses completely girded up their loins for Jihad against the westerners and their local missionaries. They became into contact with Mujahidin of the Islamic Emirate in the abovementioned areas. After the apprehension of the reality of the Islamic Emirate, they declared that they would completely follow the proclamation, message and rules and regulations of the Islamic Emirate. They added that they are ready to participate in Jihad with their life and wealth against the invader westerners under the supervision of the Islamic Emirate and to expel the western soldiers, missionaries and their internal missionaries from their areas.
The Islamic Emirate’s in-charge of Jihad for Daikundi province, Mulla Sulaiman Aagha says that the heads, dignitaries and common people are in contact with them from all parts of Daikundi province. They have announced their unification with the Islamic Emirate and have promised for all inclusive co-operations.
The Sangi-Takht, Shahrestan and Kajran districts of Daikundi province where there were no glimpse of Jihadi operations, now Mujahidin are well organized there. Most parts of Kajran district are emancipated from the enemy and are under the control of Mujahidin now. Practical operations have been started this year in other districts which have severely embarrassed the enemy.
One month ago, a commander named Mohammad Ali Fidai, joined Mujahidin including his 50 men in Shahrestan district of Daikundi province. Similarly, a number of dignitaries and civilians leaders are in contact with Mujahidin from Sang-i-Takht, Neeli, Miramur and Bandar areas and they have pledged for all kind of co-operation. The in-charge of Daikundi province says that they have arranged their groups in all districts of Daikundi province. As there is heavy snowfall in the region, therefore, practical operations are not possible till now. Insha-Allah, with the arrival of spring season, wide rage operations will be launched in all areas.
In the recent past when the Jihadi operations were accelerated in Kajran and Shahrestan districts, the enemy was badly embarrassed, because they considered Bamyan and Daikundi, to be the exemplary areas which were completely under their control; therefore the enemy asked the people of Daikundi to provide them 200 persons for Arbakis on the district level but the people in all areas denied and rejected this demand of the enemy.
Gizab is the district which is under the control of Mujahidin with the exception of its centre and the enemy has a very symbolic presence there. Ajristan district which was related to Ghazni province but is now related to Daikundi province in the Islamic Emirate setup, is also under the control of Mujahidin. The enemy has only base there in Sangar area which is supplied from the air. The Jihadi operations have been launched now in all other Shi’ite populated areas. On the basis of the above, we can, hopefully, be the witness of a great change in favour of Jihad in this region in the near future. Insha-Allah.
