Afghanistan : 2 villages liberated in northern Faryab province, fighting ongoing

FARYAB, May 29 – Reports arriving from Karzewan district of northern Faryab province say that Mujahideen launched a large scale operation, as part of Khalid bin Waleed spring campaign, around the district center on Tuesday morning.

 Officials from the area say that Mujahideen killed 2 Arbaki gunmen and wounded 2 others en route to completely clearing Kekawos and Fareesh villages from Arbaki menace, adding that 1 enemy vehicle was also destroyed while a motorbike, horse, 2 boxes of Ak rounds and 10 RPG rounds were also seized.

It is said that the fighting is still ongoing in the area today, more details about which will be updated as information arrives.
