Transparency and Access to Medicines: One Year After the WHA Resolution

Thursday, May 21, 2020 | 15:00 - 16:30 CET

In May 2019, a milestone resolution on transparency in pharmaceutical markets was adopted by the 72nd World Health Assembly (WHA). One year later, this event will reflect on efforts to implement it at national level, challenges that have arisen and ongoing debates. How does transparency shape innovation and access to medicines and diagnostics? What is the relevance of transparency to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis? Panelists will address these questions from government, civil society, academic and industry perspectives, looking at both national and global levels.

Co-organised by the Global Health Centre and Observatoire de la transparence dans les politiques du médicament (OTMeds).
