PARCE QUE RIEN N’EST AU-DESSUS DE LA LÉGITIMITÉ POPULAIRE ATTESTÉE PAR LE VOTE MASSIF DE L’ÉCRASANTE MAJORITÉ DE LA POPULATION CAMEROUNAISE AU SOIR DU SCRUTIN DU 12 OCTOBRE 2025.
MÊME PAS LE DÉVOIEMENT OU LE DÉTOURNEMENT DE LA LÉGALITÉ RÉPUBLICAINE PAR DES INSTITUTIONS INFÉODÉES PENDANT 43 ANS À LA DICTATURE DE PAUL BIYA (92 ANS), ET LEUR INSTRUMENTALISATION PAR CE DERNIER DANS UNE PARODIE DE PRESTATION DE SERMENT LE 06 NOVEMBRE 2025.
Précisément parce que la prestation de serment du président véritablement élu par les Camerounais le 12 octobre 2025, Issa TCHIROMA BAKARY, a toute sa valeur et sa portée souveraine pour toutes les Camerounaises et tous les Camerounais soucieux de la conformité de la légitimité populaire avec la légalité du pouvoir, dont l’incarnation de celui-ci à l’intérieur comme à l’extérieur des frontières du Cameroun.
Cela ne peut et ne doit en aucune manière être empêché indéfiniment par la terreur des armes, la séquestration des opposants, et le massacre en toute impunité des populations civiles récalcitrantes.
En tant qu’organisation de défense des droits humains, nous comprenons que ce projet est loin d’être simple pour un régime englué dans 43 ans de privatisation de l’État et d’abus sans limite des privilèges, et qui est intrinsèquement habité par un sentiment de supériorité injustifié, donc, absolument incapable de renoncer au pouvoir.
Cependant, nous n’avons pas d’autre choix que d’affronter la situation actuelle, parce que la résignation c’est la mort collective assurée.
En ce sens force est de constater que la dernière élection présidentielle représente une profonde rupture politique dans le pays, qui exige la construction d’une société plus unie dans sa diversité. Aussi, nous devons dépasser la vision arrogante du régime, qui considère les Camerounais ordinaires comme des citoyens de seconde zone et perpétue l’exclusion et les humiliations.
Il est donc impératif de transformer la vision de l’unité nationale afin qu’elle valorise et reconnaisse la dignité de chacun. Il n’y a pas d’autre perspective que celle de respecter enfin la volonté de la majorité des Camerounais ordinaires, exaspérés par les atrocités du régime sanguinaire de Biya ces 43 dernières années.

BECAUSE NOTHING IS ABOVE POPULAR LEGITIMACY AS ATTESTED BY THE MASSIVE VOTE OF THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION ON ELECTION NIGHT.
NOT EVEN THE PERVERTING OR MISCHIEF OF REPUBLICAN LEGALITY BY INSTITUTIONS SUBFED FOR 43 YEARS TO THE DICTATORSHIP OF PAUL BIYA (92 YEARS OLD).
The swearing-in of the president truly elected by the Cameroonian people on October 12, 2025, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, will have its full value and sovereign significance for all Cameroonians concerned with the alignment of popular legitimacy with the embodiment of the nation, both within and beyond its borders. This cannot and must not be indefinitely prevented by the terror of arms, the kidnapping of opponents, and the massacre of dissenting populations.
As a human rights organization, we understand that this project is not easy for a regime mired in 43 years of state privatization and the boundless enjoyment of its privileges, coupled with an unjustified sense of superiority, which cannot simply relinquish power.
However, we have no choice but to confront the present moment.
Thus, we must recognize that the last presidential election represents a profound political rupture in the country, one that demands the building of a more cohesive society. Consequently, we must move beyond the regime’s arrogant vision, which considers ordinary Cameroonians as second-class citizens and perpetuates exclusion and indignities. It is imperative to transform the vision of national unity so that it values and recognizes the dignity of all.
There is no other way to respect the will of the majority of ordinary Cameroonians who are fed up with the Biya’s regime cruelties of the last 43 years.
