Bernie Sanders announces 2020 run against Trump

Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont declared his intentions with a video posted on Twitter. He also appeared on CBS. Bernie Sanders wants to defeat the “most dangerous president in modern American history.”

  Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders jumped into the race for president in 2020. The 77-year-old Senator said on Tuesday that he planned again seek the nomination.

  “I am going to run for president. . . . We’re going to win,” Sanders told “CBS This Morning” co-host John Dickerson in an interview that aired early Tuesday. 

   Sanders added that, beyond just embarking on a second presidential campaign, he would launch “a grassroots movement . . . to lay the groundwork for transforming the economic and political life of this country.”

   Sanders wrote to his supporters an email:

   “We were told that Medicare for All, a $15 an hour minimum wage, free tuition at public colleges and universities, aggressively combating climate change, demanding that the wealthy start paying their fair share of taxes, were all concepts that the American people would never accept.”

     He also said : “ It is time to complete that revolution” they started three years ago, now that his ideas have caught on with the American public.”

     In his email, he asked for a million supporters to commit to helping him running.

    “The only way we will win this election and create a government and economy that work for all is with a grassroots movement – the likes of which has never been seen in American history,

    Bernie Sanders sounds quite optimistic :

     “ We’re gonna win “
