500 Words on Knowledge

An ode to Thierry Meyssan, and to knowledge.

The September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and on the Pentagon near Washington, D.C. were shocking global media events that dominated public attention and circulated spectacles of terror that generated fear and even panic throughout the first two decades of the 21st century.

The September 11th attacks spawned endless war, the surveillance state, torture, "legal" assassinations, indefinite detention, Homeland Security, ICE, the TSA, the “New Atheism,” and British cultural Marxism in America, and the persecution of real journalists.

The attacks of September 11, 2001, highlight the general absence of attention to religious charlatanisme in international scholarship. Over the past generation, though, the global rise of public religion has challenged the political frauds. The sharpest challenge is "radical Islam," a political theology manufactured by Western intelligence in the early 20th century that gave rise to al-Qaeda. For us to understand 9/11, we ought to devote more attention to the way in which religions are coopted by bad Western actors.

Thierry Meyssan wrote this several years ago and predicted the spiritual transformation happening in the world today: “The awakening of the Orthodox culture will have important consequences in Europe. The continent is historically divided into a Catholic and Protestant zone to the West, and an Orthodox zone to the East. We talk and bargain with God in the West, we submit to his Greatness and we adore Him in the East. Family structures are less egalitarian in the West, and more egalitarian in the East. Since the 11th century, this cultural difference splits Europe. During the Cold War, the ‘Iron Curtain’ did not respect this division, since Orthodox Greece had been attached to NATO, and Catholic Poland had been incorporated into the Warsaw Pact. Today, the extension of the European Union is aimed in priority at imposing the Western European model on the countries of Orthodox culture. Already, we can predict the dissolution of the European Union and the triumph of the cultural model opened in Saint Petersburg.”

You see, the metaphysical stage was set for the September 11th attacks. After all, these are men who believe they have a God’s eye view of the universe and a thumb on the ancient faith of Christianity.

L'Effroyable Imposture (or "The Horrifying Fraud") is the original French title of the quintessential book about 9/11 by Thierry Meyssan. Its English edition is entitled 9/11: The Big Lie. In my humble opinion it documents how conspiracy by members of ruling elites is intrinsic to Marxist capitalism.

There are reasons to believe that 9/11 demonstrates a new Marxist understanding of the capitalist state and the culture of what Karl Marx refers to as “bourgeois terror.” Much has been said about the “inside job” conspiratorial nature of the 9/11 terror attacks and the false blame placed on Islam.

Cri de coeurWe must make public distinction between acts of the state that are public and open to direct investigation, and acts of the state that are concealed, secret, and indeed conspiratorial. We have learned in recent years to translate almost all of political life in terms of conspiracy. Now, we need to take it to a public policy level. Knowledge ought to be a top line consideration.

The famous French journalist Thierry Meyssan is really the gold standard to inspire, empower, and remind us that knowledge is not a conspiracy.

“Knowledge is never definitive. History, like any other science, questions what we is believed to be true but which, in the light of new factors, must be modified, even refuted.” ~Thierry Meyssan
